Chris and Michelle Clothier are our 2017 People of the Year, and their work with Kids Kickin’ Cancer proves that there are incredible individuals doing great things in the game. According to the nomination written by the good people at Memphis Happy Feet, Kids Kickin’ Cancer is “an amazing philanthropy that supports kids that have battled or are battling cancer. They seek to foster an atmosphere of teaching kids the value of a positive attitude, self-belief and the ability to encourage and be encouraged by other kids fighting the same fight. An amazing organization that provide kids with full on professional KKC kits and more. ”
In a community that really does so much to support those with childhood cancer, Chris and Michelle stand out. Their work is further proof of why soccer is called the beautiful game. On behalf of everyone here at 901soccer.com, I’d like to thank Chris and Michelle and their entire family to put in the time and effort necessary to make this outstanding program work. We’d love to interview you in 2018!
(In the meantime, you can listen to our entire 901LT Ep. 5b – Local Teams: The Best of 2017 podcast, in which we officially name the Clothiers as our People of the Year.)
