Are Modular Stadiums the Wave of the Future?

I wrote this piece for Midfield Press after my editor sent a group of us a long list of potential topics in American soccer. This one jumped off the page for me. I have long desired to see a Soccer-Specific Stadium on the site of the old Tim McCarver stadium or elsewhere on the Fairgrounds lot. I have changed my view on that to some degree, because the Grizzlies and Redbirds have since shown us that downtown is the place to be for sporting events. But, location aside, it is not completely outside the realm of possibility that Memphis could have a SSS at some point in the future. A modular stadium might just be a good fit.
